Aerial photographs / maps
The old and new aerial photographs are created by processing the aerial photographs by era, the aerial photographs by fiscal year, and the latest nationwide photographs from GSI Tiles, published by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI). The coverage of the aerial photographs by era differs by area and era, and the aerial photographs by fiscal year cover only the areas photographed in that fiscal year. The year and month shown as "Center photograph taken" on location pages are also derived from GSI Tiles, from the single photographs (the shooting position and date of each individual aerial photograph).
Elevation
Elevation values are ground surface elevations from the GSI elevation API. Even when a station is underground or elevated, the value shown is that of the ground surface.
Rail lines
Station locations and the lines serving them are created by processing National Land Numerical Information (railway data / Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
Land use
The land use on the board of the game "Grow a Town: 50 Years" is created by processing National Land Numerical Information (land use subdivision mesh L03-b for 1976 and 2021 / Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
When the content was collected
Each dataset is based on what was published at the time it was obtained. Later openings and closures of lines and changes in the terrain may not be reflected.
